On September 27, a joint meeting of the Committee of Importers and Distributors and the Committee on Legal Support of the ASEU Solar Energy Industry was held online.
The Director of the Association, Artem Semenyshyn, opened the meeting with an introductory speech about the current state of solar energy in Ukraine and the world, spoke about the current activities of ASEU, and outlined the agenda.
The following issues were considered during the meeting:
– design, modernization, and reconstruction of buildings of any type of ownership, including state ones, for the installation of roof-top SPPs, as an energy-saving tool;
– post-war restoration and installation of SES on the roofs of buildings as a way to energy efficiency;
– simplification of requirements for equipment replacement by the owner of a damaged SPP without any legal consequences for him, in cases of repair or reconstruction.
The Chairman of the Board of the Association, Vladyslav Sokolovsky, noted that a rational decision would be to start installing rooftop SPPs at critical infrastructure facilities now. Also, the roofs of other new buildings should be technically prepared for the possibility of installation of SES. And already from 2025, it is necessary to legislate the obligation to build and reconstruct all houses with rooftop SPPs. Also, the Chairman of the Board noted that the further use of solar energy will reduce the costs of maintaining critical infrastructure.
The representatives of the Committees agreed to continue working in the outlined direction and to hold several more meetings for more fruitful working out of the issues.
