As of today, the structure of the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine includes eight committees, whose primary goal is to develop a unified position among solar industry representatives and advocate for it effectively.
Development of best practices for the interaction of solar power plants and energy storage systems, development of off-grid solar power plants and individual BESS operating on a market basis. Improvement of legislation for the development of BESS.
The Committee on the Operation of Electricity Markets prepares proposals in the interests of the solar industry regarding the operation of the electricity market, the ancillary services market, and the implementation of energy storage systems.
The Solar Power Plant Installers Committee unites companies and specialists involved in the design, installation, and maintenance of solar power plants. The main goal of the committee is to contribute to improving the quality of services and creating favorable conditions for doing business in the solar energy sector in Ukraine.
The Household Solar Power Plants Committee is focused on ongoing assistance and advocacy of the interests of Home Solar Power Plants owners. The Committee ensures the implementation of the SEAU strategy and protects participants from excessive state intervention in “green” energy.
The purpose of the SEАU Investment Committee is to become a practical tool to support Ukrainian business in the implementation of investment projects directly related to the solar energy industry.
The main purpose of the Committee for Digitalization and Protection of Intellectual Property is to coordinate information and technological support of the Association members in the implementation and development of new information technologies (such as QES, forecasting etc), legal and technical protection of intellectual property.
The Committee stands for fmproving of the Legal Support of the Solar Energy Sector is responsible for drafting proposals for amendments to legislation, bylaws of the Cabinet of Ministers and other executive bodies, and prepares proposals for draft acts related to the activities of the National Energy Regulation Commission, NPC Ukrenergo, and Guaranteed Buyer in the interests of the solar industry.
