Key tasks of the ESS Committee include:
- Developing best practices for integrating solar power plants with energy storage systems;
- Promoting the development of off-grid solar power plants and autonomous ESS operating on market principles;
- Improving legislation to stimulate the growth of energy storage installations in Ukraine.
Serhii Ruchko has been appointed as the head of the newly established Committee. He previously chaired the Committee on Residential Solar Power Plants (RSPP), is a board member of the Association, and the founder of the GreenPower Talk forum on solar power plants.
Following a vote by Committee members, Ruslan Chernei, also a board member of the Association, was elected as the new head of the RSPP Committee.
