The Solar Energy Association of Ukraine warmly congratulates its partner, Huawei, on receiving the prestigious Smarter E AWARD 2026 in the Photovoltaics category during Intersolar Europe 2026 in Munich.
The award-winning product is Huawei’s new SUN2000-506KTL 506 kW string inverter, which became the only photovoltaic inverter for utility-scale solar power plants recognized with this year’s award. This achievement once again confirms Huawei’s leadership in developing advanced technologies for the solar energy sector and the digital transformation of power systems.
The SUN2000-506KTL is the industry’s first string inverter with a capacity exceeding 500 kW and incorporates several groundbreaking innovations. Among them is the world’s first Grid-Forming string inverter technology, enabling solar power plants not only to generate electricity but also to actively support grid stability. In addition, the inverter features a 1000 Vac architecture, improving power transmission efficiency while reducing infrastructure costs.
The new inverter is a key component of FusionSolar 9.0, Huawei’s next-generation platform for utility-scale solar power plants. To date, projects with a combined capacity of more than 10 GW based on this platform are already being deployed worldwide, demonstrating the strong global demand for Huawei’s latest technologies.
Receiving the Smarter E AWARD 2026 is an important international recognition of Huawei’s innovation and its contribution to the advancement of the global solar energy industry. The company continues to develop solutions that improve the efficiency of solar generation, enhance grid resilience, and create new opportunities for integrating renewable energy sources.
