The Solar Energy Association of Ukraine has launched a Committee on Electricity Market Operations.
Key objectives of the newly established Committee:
- Supporting commercial and private solar power plants (SPPs) in their operations on wholesale and retail electricity markets;
- Developing effective and collaborative solutions to improve existing rules, methodologies, and other regulatory acts governing the functioning of the Day-Ahead Market (DAM), Intraday Market (IDM), balancing market, ancillary services, bilateral agreements, and other trading-related issues.
Volodymyr Yevdokimov, an expert in electricity markets and a researcher in energy modeling, has been appointed as the Chair of the Committee on Electricity Market Operations. He has extensive experience in the energy sector, including serving as the head of the Market Operator and as a member of the National Commission for State Regulation of Energy and Utilities.
