From 23 to 25 June 2026, the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine (SEAU) represented the Ukrainian solar community at Intersolar Europe 2026 for the fourth consecutive year. The exhibition was held in Munich, Germany, as part of The smarter E Europe, Europe’s largest platform for the energy industry.
This year’s Intersolar Europe brought together more than 2,800 exhibitors, approximately 100,000 visitors from around the world, and nearly 200,000 m² of exhibition space, with Intersolar Europe occupying more than 100,000 m².
Over the course of the three-day exhibition, the SEAU stand became one of the key international meeting points for the Ukrainian solar community. It served as a platform for presenting Ukraine’s solar and battery energy storage (BESS) market, holding negotiations with international partners, investors, equipment manufacturers, and representatives of industry associations.
The SEAU stand was supported by SOLARKIT Europe and EMBUD LLC – BLS (Bright Life Solar), with whom the Association jointly showcased the potential of Ukraine’s renewable energy market and opportunities for international cooperation.
On the opening day of the exhibition, SEAU also organized a dedicated Networking Room, where dozens of meetings took place with representatives of Ukrainian and international companies, investors, equipment manufacturers, and industry experts.
A particular focus of Intersolar Europe 2026 was the presentation of Ukraine’s experience in developing distributed generation and battery energy storage systems under wartime conditions.
Vladyslav Sokolovskyi, Chairman of the Board of SEAU, delivered presentations and participated in several international conference sessions and professional panel discussions.
During the Global Associations Workshop, he presented the transformation of Ukraine’s Solar and BESS market, emphasizing that despite the extensive destruction of the country’s energy infrastructure, Ukraine continues to rapidly develop distributed generation and battery energy storage systems.
During international panel discussions, Mr. Sokolovskyi also highlighted the transformation of Ukraine’s energy architecture, the role of solar generation and BESS in ensuring the uninterrupted operation of critical infrastructure, the development of mini-grid solutions, and strengthening the energy resilience of local communities.
Another important topic discussed during the event was Europe’s energy security. Panel participants emphasized that Russia continues to use energy as a weapon of war, while Ukraine’s experience in rapidly deploying decentralized generation has already become highly valuable for European partners.
Once again, the participation of the Ukrainian solar community was supported by the Consulate General of Ukraine in Munich. During the exhibition, the SEAU stand was visited by Yurii Nykytiuk, Consul General of Ukraine in Munich, and Taras Kulaiets, Consul of Ukraine.

This year’s participation became one of SEAU’s most active and productive appearances since the Association first began representing the Ukrainian solar community at the exhibition.
During the three-day event, SEAU representatives:
- spoke at three international conference sessions;
- gave numerous interviews and comments to international specialized media;
- held more than 80 business meetings with international partners, investors, and manufacturers;
- welcomed more than 300 visitors to the Ukrainian stand;
- presented the current state of Ukraine’s solar and battery energy storage market to the international community;
- established over 100 new contacts with potential international partners, many of which are expected to develop into joint projects, investments, and new business opportunities for Ukraine’s solar energy sector.

Looking ahead, SEAU is preparing for new international projects, new partnerships, and new opportunities to further develop Ukraine’s solar energy sector.
The next major event will be the Solar BESS Grid Forum, organized by the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine on 13 November 2026 as part of ReBuild Ukraine (12–13 November, Warsaw).
