The KNESS group of companies, a general partner of the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine, has developed and is currently implementing mobile solar stations with electricity storage systems. The solution is designed and focused to help Defenders, doctors, volunteers, and all those who need access to electricity anytime, anywhere.
“We were asked to implement an autonomous energy solution that would cover critical electricity needs. In a few weeks, our specialists developed a mobile solar station with an electricity storage system and delivered it free of charge to the addressee of the request. And then we developed several more versions of different power and modifications because we understand that now this solution can help and helps where access to electricity is critically needed,” said Serhiy Shakalov, CEO of the KNESS group of companies.
Currently, almost 30 Sich Smart PV solar stations have been implemented at the request of volunteers for the needs of the Defenders. A more powerful version of the installation — PV Sich Mobile — is also being actively produced to provide electricity at the level of critical needs (possibility of the simultaneous connection of devices up to 3 kW).
The initiative to provide hospitals with mobile systems was implemented by the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine in partnership with the German company BayWa r.e. Global, by the European solar association SolarPower Europe, with the involvement of the Energy Act For Ukraine Foundation.
Ukrainians fully felt how important it is to have an additional source of energy. Own generation can provide heat, light, an opportunity to get in touch and learn important information about the current situation in the country and the possibility of rescue. Therefore, solar energy is necessary for wartime conditions, because it can save more than one life.
Flexibility, power autonomy, and energy independence are the challenges of today. And the optimal solution to these problems is to use the advantages of RES.
