From October 15-17, Bucharest, Romania, hosted the long-anticipated event in the field of solar energy, CISOLAR & GREENBATTERY 2024. Once again, the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine was the official information partner of the event. The Association is a key organization advocating for the interests of solar energy market participants in Ukraine and collaborates with international companies for experience sharing and innovation exchange.
This year, the CISOLAR conference-exhibition brought together over 1,650 participants and 54 exhibitors from sectors such as solar energy, energy storage, and electric vehicle infrastructure under one roof. Participants gained valuable insights from over 65 industry experts from more than 20 countries and connected with key players in the renewable energy field from Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, the United States, China, Germany, and more.
The active interest in the event by the European and international community once again highlighted the growing need for clean energy solutions in Central and Eastern Europe. Renewable energy is gaining momentum in these regions but still faces regulatory and financial challenges.
According to the International Renewable Energy Agency, the Eastern European renewable energy market is expected to reach a cumulative capacity of 55 GW by 2030, requiring coordinated efforts across national borders to meet these targets.
“Southeast Europe’s renewable energy and new energy solutions landscape is incredibly dynamic, with immense potential for growth, energy security, and environmental resilience,” explained Julia Daviy Berezovska, Co-Chair of CISOLAR & GREENBATTERY, Founding Director of Sustainable Innovation Council. “However, unlocking this potential requires coordinated action among governments, private companies, and communities to build a resilient, inclusive energy market that will serve the region for decades to come.” Daviy Berezovska noted that for real progress, the region must streamline processes to support solar and battery manufacturing, scale grid capacity, and create an ecosystem that fosters high-impact, planet-positive innovations.
Special thanks to CISOLAR founders and organizers Vitaliy Daviy, a board member of the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine, and Yuliya Daviy, who, over the years, have brought together like-minded individuals and created conditions for innovation in the renewable energy sector. Thanks to their dedicated efforts, CISOLAR has been one of the most influential events in the industry for Central and Eastern Europe for many years.
