Institute of General Energy of the NAS of Ukraine is the state’s leading scientific institution in the field of systemic energy research. Founded to solve complex problems in the development of the energy sector, the Institute today acts as a key intellectual hub where fundamental science is combined with practical forecasting and strategic planning.
Key areas of activity and expertise:
- Strategic modeling and forecasting: The Institute develops long-term scenarios for the development of the fuel and energy complex of Ukraine, taking into account global trends in decarbonization and energy transition. Proprietary software and analytical systems allow calculating optimal energy balances at national and regional levels.
- Energy security and resilience: Specialists of the institution conduct systemic analysis of energy supply reliability, assess risks to critical infrastructure, and develop measures to increase the resilience of energy systems under crisis conditions.
- Energy efficiency and energy conservation: One of the priorities is the scientific support of energy efficiency policy.
