In November, a marathon will be held in Portugal to raise funds for the installation of a solar station for the Bobrytske Lyceum in Kyiv region as part of the “100 Solar Schools” campaign by the Energy Act for Ukraine Foundation.
The foundation is responsible for launching solar stations in schools and hospitals across Ukraine – two schools have already been equipped in the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, and two hospitals in the Chernihiv and Ivankiv communities. The foundation’s plans include providing another 48 hospitals and 98 schools with solar stations.
- The marathon’s distance is 42.2 km.
- The fundraising goal is 100,000 hryvnias.
- Location: Porto Marathon (Portugal).
The organizers of the fundraiser, Yevhen Grytskov and Zhanna Ropaieva, will transfer the funds raised to the Foundation for installing a solar station with energy storage systems at the Bobrytske Lyceum in the Velikodimer village council.
