On 29 September 2026, the online Dialogue Hub \u201cUkraine and CBAM: Impact on Energy, Electricity Exports and Integration into the EU Market\u201d will take place, organised by the UN Global Compact Ukraine Energy Initiative.<\/b><\/p>\n
The event will take place <\/span>on 29 September from 10:00 to 11:30<\/b> in an online format.<\/span><\/p>\n The Dialogue Hub will focus on the impact of the <\/span>Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM)<\/b> on Ukraine\u2019s energy sector, the competitiveness of Ukrainian electricity on the European market, as well as key steps needed to ensure energy resilience, decarbonisation and Ukraine\u2019s further integration into the EU energy market.<\/span><\/p>\n The discussion will bring together representatives of the <\/span>Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, Ministry of Economy and Environment of Ukraine, NPC Ukrenergo, JSC Market Operator, JSC \u201cNAEK \u201cEnergoatom\u201d, DTEK, Elementum Energy<\/b>, as well as other companies and industry associations.<\/span><\/p>\n Vladyslav Sokolovskyi, Chairman of the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine (SEAU),<\/b> will speak in the session <\/span>\u201cPosition of Industry Associations: What CBAM Means for Different Energy and Business Segments.\u201d<\/b> During the short session, representatives of industry associations will discuss, among other issues, the regulatory solutions needed to turn decarbonisation into a competitive advantage and the steps Ukraine needs to take to maintain its competitiveness amid further integration with the European market.<\/span><\/p>\n Particular attention will be paid to <\/span>cross-border electricity trading, the role of generation decarbonisation, the impact of the generation mix and carbon intensity on the competitiveness of Ukrainian electricity<\/b>, as well as the prospects for further integration of the Ukrainian and European electricity markets.<\/span><\/p>\n The Dialogue Hub will conclude with an open discussion <\/span>\u201cCBAM for Ukraine: Challenge or Driver for Energy Transformation?\u201d<\/b> During the discussion, participants will address the role of the state and business in maintaining the competitiveness of Ukrainian electricity on the EU market and the potential of a low-carbon generation mix in Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n Energy sector representatives and all interested stakeholders are invited to join the online event.<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" On 29 September 2026, the online Dialogue Hub \u201cUkraine and CBAM: Impact on Energy, Electricity Exports and Integration into the EU Market\u201d will take place, organised by the UN Global Compact Ukraine Energy Initiative.
