REGISTRATION<\/b><\/a><\/p>\nOn <\/span>18 August<\/b>, the National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission of Ukraine (NEURC) designated <\/span>JSC \u201cMarket Operator\u201d as a Nominated Electricity Market Operator (NEMO)<\/b> for a four-year term. This decision marks an important step towards coupling Ukraine\u2019s <\/span>Day-Ahead Market (DAM)<\/b> and <\/span>Intraday Market (IDM)<\/b> with the corresponding segments of the European electricity markets through the <\/span>market coupling<\/b> mechanism.<\/span><\/p>\nDuring the meeting, we will discuss the significance of JSC \u201cMarket Operator\u201d\u2019s new status and the next practical steps towards integrating Ukraine\u2019s electricity market into the single European energy market.<\/span><\/p>\nIn particular, we will discuss:<\/b><\/p>\n\n- what the designation of JSC \u201cMarket Operator\u201d as NEMO means and what role the nominated operator will play in the process of integrating Ukraine\u2019s DAM and IDM with the European markets;<\/span><\/li>\n
- the next steps following the NEMO designation, including preparations for concluding a multilateral agreement between nominated electricity market operators and transmission system operators of EU Member States and\/or Contracting Parties to the Energy Community;<\/span><\/li>\n
