{"id":23003,"date":"2026-05-29T13:23:03","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T10:23:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/?p=23003"},"modified":"2026-05-29T13:24:38","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T10:24:38","slug":"seau-presented-investment-opportunities-in-ukraines-solar-and-energy-storage-sectors-to-italian-businesses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/en\/seau-presented-investment-opportunities-in-ukraines-solar-and-energy-storage-sectors-to-italian-businesses\/","title":{"rendered":"International Interest in Ukraine\u2019s Energy Sector Remains Strong: SEAU Participates in the Embassy of Italy\u2019s Webinar"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b><i>On May 19, 2026, Dmytro Lukomskyi, Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine (SEAU), participated in the international webinar \u201cEnergy Industry in Ukraine,\u201d organized by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ice.it\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trade Promotion Section of the Embassy of Italy in Ukraine<\/a> in cooperation with the <a href=\"https:\/\/anie.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Italian association ANIE<\/a><\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event focused on the current state of Ukraine\u2019s energy sector, prospects for cooperation between Ukrainian and Italian businesses, opportunities for international investors, and issues related to the recovery and modernization of Ukraine\u2019s energy infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ANIE is one of Italy\u2019s largest industry associations in the fields of electrical engineering, electronics, and industrial engineering, bringing together more than 1,100 companies. The webinar served as a platform for dialogue between representatives of Ukraine\u2019s energy sector and Italian businesses regarding potential areas of cooperation in renewable energy, energy storage systems, equipment supply, and infrastructure projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The event brought together<strong> more than 60 participants<\/strong>, including representatives of government institutions from Ukraine and Italy, international financial institutions, energy companies, and industry associations. The webinar was opened by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Ukraine, Carlo Formosa. Other speakers included Valentyna Moskalenko, Deputy Minister of Energy of Ukraine, representatives of the Ukraine Energy Support Fund, DTEK, the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association, and the Italian financial institution Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the event, <strong>Dmytro Lukomskyi<\/strong> discussed the transformation of Ukraine\u2019s power system under wartime conditions, the development of solar generation and battery energy storage systems (BESS), and new investment models emerging in the Ukrainian market.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The speaker noted that Solar PV + BESS solutions are being actively deployed by industrial enterprises, the agricultural sector, logistics companies, local communities, and private households across Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During his presentation, Mr. Lukomskyi highlighted new approaches to investing in solar generation and energy storage systems, the development of the ancillary services market, and government support mechanisms for Solar PV + BESS projects.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cToday, the Ukrainian solar energy and energy storage market is creating new investment opportunities for international businesses \u2013 from self-consumption and energy arbitrage models to participation in the ancillary services market and green auctions,\u201d the expert noted.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SEAU emphasized that energy storage systems now play a strategic role in shaping a modern, flexible, and resilient Ukrainian power system by providing businesses and communities with greater energy security and autonomy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SEAU\u2019s participation in the event marked another step toward strengthening international dialogue and expanding cooperation between Ukrainian and European businesses in the energy sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cFor international investors, Ukraine remains one of the most promising energy markets in Europe, as the need for new generation capacity, energy storage systems, and infrastructure modernization is already measured in tens of gigawatts,\u201d emphasized Dmytro Lukomskyi.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following the webinar, the organizers also announced a series of bilateral meetings between Ukrainian and Italian companies interested in cooperation within the energy sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>SEAU would like to thank the Embassy of Italy in Ukraine, ANIE, and all webinar participants for the constructive professional discussion and their support for the development of Ukraine\u2019s energy sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On May 19, 2026, Dmytro Lukomskyi, Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine (SEAU), participated in the international webinar \u201cEnergy Industry in Ukraine,\u201d organized by the Trade Promotion Section of the Embassy of Italy in Ukraine in cooperation with the Italian association ANIE.
