{"id":22235,"date":"2026-03-11T17:35:07","date_gmt":"2026-03-11T15:35:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/?p=22235"},"modified":"2026-03-12T10:37:16","modified_gmt":"2026-03-12T08:37:16","slug":"clean-energy-for-clean-water-how-solar-power-supports-communities-during-blackouts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/en\/clean-energy-for-clean-water-how-solar-power-supports-communities-during-blackouts\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cClean Energy for Clean Water\u201d: How Solar Power Supports Communities During Blackouts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project <\/span><b>\u201cClean Energy for Clean Water,\u201d<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> implemented by <\/span><b>Atmosfera<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, has become an example of how renewable energy can meet critical community needs even under challenging conditions of energy shortages.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As part of the initiative, <\/span><b>six autonomous solar power plants with energy storage systems<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> were installed to power water pumps and purification systems in communities across the <\/span><b>Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each system has a capacity of <\/span><b>12-18 kW<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The project uses <\/span><b>JA Solar photovoltaic modules<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><b>Deye and Victron Energy hybrid inverters<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, and <\/span><b>Pylontech batteries<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with a capacity of <\/span><b>8-12 kWh<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/photo_2026-03-11_16-51-33.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-22241 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/photo_2026-03-11_16-51-33-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1116\" height=\"744\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/photo_2026-03-11_16-51-33-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/photo_2026-03-11_16-51-33-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/photo_2026-03-11_16-51-33-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/photo_2026-03-11_16-51-33.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1116px) 100vw, 1116px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">These systems can <\/span><b>autonomously support water supply operations even during power outages<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project was implemented through a partnership between <\/span><b>private business, international donors, and local communities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In particular:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Atmosfera<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> carried out the system design and installation<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the international organization <\/span><b>Water Mission<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> coordinated implementation and provided expert support<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the <\/span><b>Swiss Confederation<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> acted as the key donor<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>local communities<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> provided the infrastructure for installing the equipment.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cEnergy is a key factor in addressing modern challenges faced by communities and social infrastructure. Solar power plants combined with battery storage systems help ensure sustainable community development and energy security for critical facilities.
