From 12 to 14 November, the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine spent three intensive and productive days in Warsaw, bringing together major international renewable energy events, dozens of meetings, and important discussions about Ukraine\u2019s energy future.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n
On 12 November, <\/span>Ivan Balytskyi<\/b>, Head of SEAU\u2019s Legal Committee, took part in a business lunch and networking event with Dutch companies, organized by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Warsaw.<\/span><\/p>\n The meeting focused on fostering cooperation in sustainable development, sharing expertise, and finding joint solutions for rebuilding Ukraine\u2019s energy infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n That same day, SEAU continued its active international engagement at the <\/span>100Green World: Dreams, Future and Reality<\/b> conference organized by Global 100% RE Ukraine, where SEAU Chairman Vladyslav Sokolovskyi<\/strong> represented the solar community.<\/span><\/p>\n In his speech, Mr. Sokolovskyi emphasized that despite the ongoing war, Ukraine has not stopped the development of solar power plants (PV) and energy storage systems (BESS): in 2024, <\/span>800 MW<\/b> of PV capacity was installed; in the first half of 2025 \u2013 another <\/span>700 MW<\/b> of solar capacity and <\/span>500 MWh<\/b> of storage systems; and by the end of the year, at least <\/span>+800 MW<\/b> of new capacity is expected. The \u201cPV + BESS\u201d model is already shaping a modern, decentralized and resilient energy system for the country.<\/span><\/p>\n On 13 November, the fifth international exhibition and conference <\/span>ReBuild Ukraine: Construction & Energy<\/b> began \u2013 one of Europe\u2019s largest platforms dedicated to infrastructure reconstruction. The event gathered hundreds of Ukrainian and international companies, experts, investors, and representatives of governmental and international institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n Representatives of the Solar Energy Association of Ukraine actively participated, holding numerous meetings and negotiations with international partners, developers, and potential investors. These discussions served as an important step toward deepening cooperation, exploring real projects, and identifying new areas of partnership in the solar and energy storage sectors.<\/span><\/p>\n On 14 November, SEAU together with PremierEXPO opened the <\/span>Solar & BESS Invest Forum UA<\/b> as part of ReBuild Ukraine. The Forum brought together leading investors, developers, equipment manufacturers, and experts shaping Ukraine\u2019s new energy reality.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The event became a key platform for professional dialogue on the future of solar energy and BESS.<\/span><\/p>\n The Forum opened with warm and inspiring remarks from:<\/span><\/p>\n Europower Enerji served as the event\u2019s general partner, while strategic support was provided by <\/span>Huawei Ukraine, KNESS, SPP Development Ukraine, GoodWe, and D.TRADING<\/b>. Additional partners included <\/span>Atmosfera<\/b> and <\/span>Sokolovskyi & Partners<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n Throughout the day, participants discussed the most pressing issues of the sector across three thematic panels.<\/span><\/p>\n Moderated by SEAU Chairman <\/span>Vladyslav Sokolovskyi<\/b>, the panel brought together experts who shared insights into the investment climate and market development strategies. Speakers represented state institutions and international organizations: <\/span>Mykola Kolisnyk<\/b> (Deputy Minister of Energy), <\/span>David Wedepohl<\/b> (BSW, <\/span>German Solar Industry Association<\/span>), <\/span>Adam Balogh<\/b> (Energy Community), <\/span>Vitalii Butenko<\/b> (<\/span>JSC “Energy Company of Ukraine”<\/span>), <\/span>Ol<\/b>ga Pershyna<\/b> (Ukrenergo), and <\/span>Fuat Ege Aslan<\/b> (Europower Enerji).<\/span><\/p>\n Moderated by <\/span>Oleksandr Havva<\/b>, CEO of Market Operator JSC. The discussion focused on practical BESS implementation cases, their economics, and their role in system balancing. Experts from <\/span>GIZ, KNESS, D.TRADING, Huawei Ukraine, Litgrid, GoodWe<\/b>, and <\/span>OKKO <\/b>shared their experience.<\/span><\/p>\n Moderated by <\/span>Oleksandr Dombrovskyi<\/b>, President of MHP Eco Energy and President of Global 100% RE Ukraine.
