{"id":19925,"date":"2025-09-24T14:57:52","date_gmt":"2025-09-24T11:57:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/?p=19925"},"modified":"2025-09-24T14:57:52","modified_gmt":"2025-09-24T11:57:52","slug":"seau-has-joined-the-european-scientific-and-innovation-project-retrieve","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/en\/seau-has-joined-the-european-scientific-and-innovation-project-retrieve\/","title":{"rendered":"SEAU has joined the European scientific and innovation project RETRIEVE"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>The Solar Energy Association of Ukraine (SEAU) has joined the European scientific and innovation project RETRIEVE (Reintegration of Photovoltaic Panel Waste Back into Manufacturing as High-Value Products), implemented under the EU\u2019s Horizon Europe framework programme.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The project aims to create a closed-loop recycling system for photovoltaic modules. <strong>RETRIEVE<\/strong> focuses on developing technologies for glass reuse, silicon purification, silver and other metal recovery, and polymer recycling. This will make it possible to transform waste into valuable raw materials for modern photovoltaic modules, reduce the negative environmental impact, and enhance resource independence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For SEAU, participation in the project is an opportunity to represent the Ukrainian solar energy sector at the European level, contribute to cutting-edge technological solutions, and support the implementation of circular economy principles in the energy sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within the RETRIEVE project, <strong>SEAU focuses on<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">conducting market analysis;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">identifying legal barriers to the implementation of circular solutions in energy;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">preparing analyses and proposals for regulatory acts on the recycling and reuse of solar panels;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">preparing recommendations for adapting Ukrainian legislation to EU requirements;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">developing policy roadmaps for solar panel recycling and reuse;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">facilitating knowledge exchange and the adoption of innovative technologies;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">fostering cooperation among scientific, industrial, and civil society organizations to advance the transition to a circular economy in renewable energy;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">disseminating project results among Ukrainian and European stakeholders.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The RETRIEVE consortium, formed to implement the project, includes SEAU and <strong>16 partners from 10 countries<\/strong> \u2013 leading research organizations, scientific centers, industrial companies, and industry associations from Norway, Germany, Spain, France, Lithuania, T\u00fcrkiye, Belgium, Switzerland, Romania, and Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/0301c727-2d95-464a-9066-6b3180dd8cc8-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-19920 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/0301c727-2d95-464a-9066-6b3180dd8cc8-1-300x252.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"962\" height=\"808\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/0301c727-2d95-464a-9066-6b3180dd8cc8-1-300x252.png 300w, https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/0301c727-2d95-464a-9066-6b3180dd8cc8-1-768x645.png 768w, https:\/\/aseu.org.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/0301c727-2d95-464a-9066-6b3180dd8cc8-1.png 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 962px) 100vw, 962px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SEAU welcomes all members of the consortium.
