Building on existing standards and improving safety concepts, T\u00dcV Rheinland developed a comprehensive safety classification system for energy storage installations, tailored to specific scenarios.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The safety classification consists of three levels:<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1\ufe0f\u20e3 <\/span><b>Level 1 (Basic):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The ESS complies with fundamental laws, regulations, standards, and safety requirements for market entry.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2\ufe0f\u20e3 <\/span><b>Level 2 (Plus):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The ESS provides enhanced mechanical, electrical, thermal, and environmental protection, preventing fires caused by thermal runaway at the battery cell level.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3\ufe0f\u20e3 <\/span><b>Level 3 (Premium):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The ESS prevents heat propagation at the battery module level even under extreme scenarios, such as fires caused by external factors, ensuring personnel safety.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">T\u00dcV Rheinland awarded Huawei the world\u2019s first <\/span><b>Premium Safety Certificate<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for ESS. This certification highlights the exceptional safety capabilities of the \u201cHuawei Smart String ESS with Grid Forming Function\u201d platform developed by Huawei Digital Power.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Zhou Tao<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, President of the Smart PV &amp; ESS product line at Huawei Digital Power, expressed gratitude to T\u00dcV Rheinland for awarding Huawei the industry\u2019s first top-level safety certificate.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cSafety in ESS is the foundation for sustainable and high-quality growth in the renewable energy sector.
